The integration of network and physical system will have an important impact on industrial production and service mode. In order to take the lead in the new industrial revolution, the German Federal Ministry of education and research and the Federal Ministry of economy and technology are jointly promoting the "industry 4.0" project, one of the ten future projects identified in the "high technology Strategy 2020", to support the research and development and innovation of the new generation of key technologies in the field of industrial technology.
The high technology Strategy 2020 formulated by the federal government of Germany aims to establish Germany's international top position in key technologies and continue to strengthen Germany's core competitiveness as a technological and economic power. Among them, information and communication technology is particularly important. It is an important innovation driver in almost all industries and application fields. In the plan action of High Technology Strategy 2020, the German federal government has set an ambitious goal for the future project "industry 4.0": Germany will become the supplier and leading market of current industrial production technology (i.e. network physical integration production system).
The concept of "industry 4.0" project describes the transformation of the basic mode from centralized control to decentralized enhanced control. The goal is to establish a highly flexible production mode of personalized and digital products and services. In this mode, traditional industry boundaries will disappear, and various new areas of activity and forms of cooperation will emerge. The process of creating new value is changing, and the division of labor in the industrial chain will be reorganized.
"Industry 4.0" project is jointly funded by the German Federal Ministry of education and research and the Federal Ministry of economy and technology. The federal government has invested 200 million euros. The future project is mainly divided into two themes: one is "intelligent factory", focusing on the research of intelligent production system and process, and the realization of networked distributed production facilities; the other is "intelligent production", mainly involving the production logistics management of the whole enterprise, human-computer interaction and the application of 3D technology in the industrial production process. The plan will pay special attention to attracting the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises, trying to make them become users and beneficiaries of the new generation of intelligent production technology, as well as creators and suppliers of advanced industrial production technology.
