On March 1, the Ministry of industry and information technology held the "2013 information and communication technology in-depth observation report conference and mobile Internet White Paper conference, China's top 10 key words conference of communication industry".
At the meeting, the Ministry of industry and information technology released a mobile Internet white paper. The white paper summarizes the development of mobile Internet at home and abroad in 2012, discusses the development trend of global mobile Internet, focuses on the development direction and opportunities of China's mobile Internet, and finally puts forward the problems and challenges faced by the development of mobile Internet.
In 2009, Nokia's Symbian system accounted for more than 74.7% of China's annual mobile operating system shipments, while Google's Android system accounted for only 0.6%. By 2012, Symbian's market share had plummeted to 2.0%, while Android's market share had grown to 86.4%. For Nokia, it's a phenomenal pace of decline. For Google, the market share figures for 2012 are also chilling.
